YUZU Candle company wanted to be something bigger. The owner wanted to be a full time brand owner, and run this business on his own Shopify store, get it into retail stores, and take over the nation - NONE of that happened.
WHAT DID happen is that when we found the luxury candles niche (cheap to buy and cheap to ship), we wanted to run tests on platforms first like ETSY. We did this with $0 in ads - so no ads, no sponsored posts - nothing. Just good ol' super SEO and KEYWORD-hyper listings that just ate up all the traffic coming to the site. Within the first week we had 4 sales.
THE INTERESTING PART is that when we decided that we had found the "winner", created an entire Shopify site, and began to go over meta ads and more with the client - they backed OUT!
Well not that they quit. But between learning all the ads stuff and handling a real ecom business (Even though we do a LOT of the work for you) the client decided to KEEP the business on ETSY. And basically never leave. They were making sales in their sleep - and we were just happy for them.
